Electronic Communications

When you visit Saumarez or send e-mails to us, you are communicating with us electronically. You consent to receive communications from us electronically. We will communicate with you by e-mail or by posting notices on this site. You agree that all agreements, notices, disclosures and other communications that we provide to you electronically satisfy any legal requirement that such communications be in writing.

The compilation of all content on this site is the exclusive property of Saumarez, with copyright authorship for this collection by Saumarez, and protected by UK and international copyright laws.

Acceptance of Orders

Our acceptance of an order takes place when we dispatch the order. We will send you a dispatch confirmation by email. We may refuse to accept an order under any of the following conditions:

1. Where goods are not available
2. Where we cannot obtain authorisation for your payment
3. If there has been a pricing or product description error
4. If we have reason to believe the transaction is fraudulent

Saumarez is not responsible for the content of third party websites recommended in our links section.

 

Privacy

At Saumarez we take your privacy extremely seriously.

We use the information you provide only to complete your order. We will send you information about your order such as an order confirmation email and a dispatch notification. We will also use your email address to reply to any email enquiries you send to us. Once your order has been completed we will not contact you again unless there is a problem with the order, or you email us with an enquiry.

We use return email addresses to answer any emails we receive. If we are unable to reach you via email, and are unable to complete your order, we may call you on the telephone using number given when placing the order with us. The only other time we will use your telephone number is if you have requested a call from us.

We never use or share the personally identifiable information provided with third parties.

All our payments are facilitated by our payment service provider HSBC Merchant Services. You should only provide personal information to HSBC Merchant Services providing you have read their terms and conditions. We will only share information with our payment service providers only to the extent of the purpose of completing payment for good ordered at www.saumarez.co.uk.

If you subscribe to our VIP list we will only use your email to inform you of special events, previews of new products and details of our special promotions. We will not share your information with third parties. On request we will be happy to remove you from the VIP list and we also reserve the right to remove email addresses from the VIP list.

Saumarez provides its services to you subject to the following conditions.

Payment

We currently use the payment provider HSBC Merchant Services and accept the following credit/debit cards:

We are unable to accept cheques or direct bank transfer or another other forms of payment other than those listed above.

Delivery

Orders will be sent by Royal Mail Recorded Delivery (signed for) in the UK or International Signed For Service for all non UK orders. All orders will be dispatched within 3 working days. Orders following bank holidays and during sale times may take an additional day to process.

All orders are packaged in recycled tissue paper and posted in a recycled postage bag or box. Please recycle all our packaging.

Delivery is charged at a flat rate of £3.50 for UK and world wide orders.

Exchanges and Refunds

You can return goods, for any reason, for a full refund or exchange. If you need to return an item to us you simply send an email, within 14 days* of receiving your order, to providing the following details:

Item(s) you wish to return
Reason(s) for return

We will reply very quickly, with full instructions on how to return the item(s). Please wait for our reply before sending goods back to us because unexpected returns can result in delays.

Following a reply from Saumarez all returned goods must arrive at the Saumarez office within 14 days. Any exchange items placed on hold will only be held for 14 days. After that date they will be placed back into stock.

Where goods are found to be faulty we will reimburse the full cost of return postage, where goods are not faulty you will be responsible for the return shipping and packing costs.

Please note the following exceptions to our returns policy:

Where the item is returned to us in a used condition we will not issue a refund. Any items that have been worn, washed, marked, affected by odours including cigarette smoke or had any tags removed are non-returnable and will be sent back to you. Please leave all tags in place until you are sure the garment fits. All knickers, pants, shorts and teddies should be tried whilst wearing existing underwear.

All bespoke items are non-returnable. Notification to cancel the order must be given within 24 hours of placing the order, before work starts on the item.

We are only able to refund to the card originally used.

We are unable to refund gift box charges when goods have been returned.

Saumarez cannot accept responsibility for the damage or loss of packages or products sent back to us by a customer so we recommend that you opt for recorded or special delivery and retain your proof of postage and tracking details. Please ensure all parcels are clearly labelled and securely sealed before posting.

We take so much care when packing your order, please take the same care when returning your items to us by folding garments neatly to avoid unnecessary creasing which can cause irreparable damage to some fabrics.

* The date of receipt is defined as the date the item arrived at your requested delivery address. To clarify, if you are unavailable to take delivery of the item and the parcel is taken to your local sorting office for collection, the 14-day period commences from the original day delivery was attempted.
